Terms, returns and privacy
Plain wording, because a term nobody reads protects nobody. Last updated 5 October 2026.
All electrical and electronic items are sold final, as seen. This applies whether the part is new, aftermarket or used, and whether or not it is fitted. Read section 7 before you order one.
1. Who you are dealing with
Islandlink Trading and Marketing, registered at Lance Aux Epines, St. George’s, Grenada, sourcing and consolidating out of Trinidad (“we”, “us”). These terms cover everything we sell and ship, whether you order through this website, through WhatsApp, or by telling us in person. Using this site or placing an order with us means you accept them.
2. What we are and are not
We are a trading and sourcing company. We buy goods from third-party suppliers in Trinidad on your behalf and arrange shipment to your island. We are not the manufacturer, and for used goods we are not the original seller. We do not hold most of what we sell as stock at the time you ask for it.
3. Reserving from the catalogue
Items on our parts page marked Reserve were photographed at a supplier’s counter on the date stated, at the price we were quoted that day. They are not our stock and those listings are not an offer to sell. Items marked In stock · buy now are different — see section 3a.
- Reserving costs nothing, charges nothing and commits you to nothing.
- We aim to confirm availability with the supplier within one business day.
- A sale is formed only when you accept a total we send you and pay it.
- If an item has gone, we will tell you and charge you nothing. Where you reserved several items, we will invoice the ones we confirmed and name the ones we could not supply.
- We may correct an obvious pricing or description error at any time before you have paid.
3a. Buying in-stock items
Items marked In stock · buy now are goods we hold ourselves. For these, the listing is an offer to sell at the price shown.
- Before you place the order, checkout shows the full total: the parts, any delivery charge or shipping documents fee, and any card fee.
- A sale is formed when you place the order. If you pay by card, it is paid at checkout. If you pay by bank transfer, we hold the goods for 48 hours; if the transfer has not arrived by then, the order lapses and the goods go back on sale.
- Cash is accepted only for deliveries within Trinidad and is paid to our driver on delivery.
- In Trinidad we deliver to the address you give us. To other islands the goods go by sea, and section 8 applies.
- If an item sells out while you are checking out, it is left off your order and you are not charged for it.
- We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before the goods leave us, and refund anything already paid for an item we cannot supply.
4. Quotes and prices
- Quotes are valid for the period stated on them (normally 7 days) and lapse after that.
- Prices are quoted in XCD, TTD or USD at our own conversion rate, which is not a bank rate and may differ from one you see elsewhere.
- Card payments carry a 5% fee, which is the processing cost passed through. A bank transfer or deposit carries no fee.
- Unless we say otherwise in writing, a quote covers the goods and the shipping documents only. See section 8.
5. Paying us
- We source, buy and ship once payment has cleared. Not before.
- Bank and deposit details are sent to you on your invoice. We never publish account details on this website, and we never change our banking details by message. If you receive account details claiming to be ours from any other source, do not pay them — contact us on our published WhatsApp number and check first.
- Trade accounts and payment terms exist only where we have agreed them with you in writing beforehand.
6. Getting the right part
We match parts against the information you give us. The single most reliable thing you can give us is the chassis or VIN number; year, model and trim alone are often not enough, particularly on body, glass and electrical parts.
- Where you give us a part number, we order to that number. If the number turns out to be wrong for your vehicle, the part is still correctly supplied.
- Where we recommend a part from a description you give us, and it is wrong because of an error on our side, we put it right at our cost.
- Fitment, compatibility and installation are your responsibility. We are not liable for labour, diagnostic charges, hire vehicles, lost earnings or any other cost arising from a part not fitting or not working.
7. Returns, warranty and claims
Electrical and electronic goods — final sale
No warranty is given, none is implied to the extent the law allows, and no return, exchange, credit or refund is available on any electrical or electronic item. This includes but is not limited to: alternators, starters, batteries, ECUs and control modules, sensors, switches, relays, wiring and looms, lamps and headlight units, motors, actuators, ignition components, instrument clusters, audio and any part containing a circuit board.
We cannot bench-test these before they leave, we cannot see how they are installed, and a single wiring mistake destroys one instantly. Please be certain of the part number before you order. We will help you confirm it if you ask. This rule applies to every customer without exception.
Everything else
- Inspect your goods when you receive them and tell us within three (3) days if something is wrong, with clear photographs of the item and of any damage or packaging.
- If we supplied the wrong item through our own error, we replace it or refund it, and we cover the return shipping.
- If the item is as described and correctly supplied but you no longer want it, we cannot refund it. We may, at our discretion, help you resell it.
- Used and “foreign used” goods are sold as seen, with no warranty of condition, remaining life or performance. Where photographs are shown they are of the actual item.
- Special orders, cut-to-order, made-to-order and specially imported items cannot be returned once ordered.
- Nothing that has been fitted, modified, painted, drilled or otherwise altered can be returned.
- Glass, body panels and bumpers must be checked for cracks and damage when you receive them — before our driver leaves, or before you leave the port. We cannot entertain a damage claim on these once they have left our custody.
- Transit damage on an ocean shipment is a matter for the carrier and, where you hold it, your own insurance. We will give you every document you need to make that claim.
Nothing in this section removes any right you have under the consumer law of your own country that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Shipping, freight, duty and clearing
- Ocean freight: what you pay us covers the goods and the shipping documents. Ocean freight itself is settled by the consignee at the destination port.
- Air freight: billed at cost once the package is weighed, so it cannot be quoted exactly in advance.
- Duty, VAT, customs and clearing charges at the destination are yours. We do not collect them and we cannot tell you what your customs will assess.
- Sailing days (Grenada Wednesday, St. Vincent Thursday, other islands twice monthly) are a schedule, not a guarantee. We do not promise delivery dates. We are not liable for delay caused by weather, port congestion, customs, carriers or supplier hold-ups.
- Risk in the goods passes to you when they are handed to the carrier.
- Goods left uncollected at the destination for more than 30 days after arrival may be disposed of to recover storage and handling costs.
9. Cancelling
- Before we have bought the goods: cancel and we refund you in full.
- After we have bought them: we refund what we can recover from the supplier, less any cost already incurred. Suppliers here frequently do not take goods back at all.
- Once goods have shipped, an order cannot be cancelled.
10. What we are liable for
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid us for the goods in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including labour, downtime, towing, hire, lost income or loss of use. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, where the law does not allow that to be limited.
11. Your information
We collect only what we need to do the job: your name, your WhatsApp number, your island, an email address if you give one, and what you asked us for, together with the photographs you send us.
- We use it to source, quote, invoice and ship your order, and to reach you about it.
- We share it only where the job requires it — a supplier needs to know the part, a shipper and customs need the consignee details on the documents, our payment processor handles the card transaction. Suppliers are not given your name or your number.
- We do not sell your information, and we never give advertisers your name, number, email or address.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp under their own terms.
- We keep order records for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require.
- Ask us and we will tell you what we hold on you, correct it, or delete what we are not obliged to keep.
Advertising measurement. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and the public catalogue pages use the Meta Pixel to tell Meta which parts are viewed, put in a basket, reserved or ordered, and when someone taps through to WhatsApp. Meta sets a cookie for this and uses it, under its own privacy policy, to show our ads to people likely to want the parts and to count what the ads achieved. We do not send Meta your name, number, email or address, and the Pixel is not on the order, account or review pages. It only switches on after you choose “Accept all” on our cookie banner, it stays off if your browser sends a “do not track” or Global Privacy Control signal, and you can change your mind here:
Apart from that, your browser stores a few things locally — your basket, and the currency you last chose — which stay on your own device and are never sent to us.
12. Using this website
Photographs, descriptions and prices on this site are ours. Please do not copy them for a competing listing. Stock and prices change daily; a listing reflects what we saw on the date shown and nothing more.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Grenada, and the courts of Grenada have jurisdiction over any dispute. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force for your order is the one published on the day you placed it. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
Something here unclear, or you think it is unfair? Tell us — message us and we will explain it or change it. We would rather fix wording than argue about it later.
